Quadtek’s High-Temperature Television Cameras let you watch the incineration process of domestic and industrial waste throughout the whole burn cycle. Monitoring waste as it’s fed onto the moving grate and the subsequent progress through the incinerator, allows the operators to efficiently manage the combustion of waste, the removal of unwanted solids, and to extinguish flames and embers from the ash before disposal into the ash hopper.
These High-Resolution color cameras provide live television pictures for simultaneously viewing the flames, unlit ash, grate and refractory wall.

Applications
Cameras can be positioned to view the whole burn process. Routine inspection of the incinerator can be carried out from the control room with continuous monitoring of the grate, refractory wall and water tubes. The high-temperature cameras can be mounted without the need for incinerator modification. Cooling is via compressed air, or a combination of air and water, for continuous and reliable operation at temperatures as high as 1750º C.
Reliability and Maintenance
The Quadtek system uses the latest CCD sensor technology - the camera system is virtually maintenance free with very high MTBF figures. A uniquely designed ported viewing nozzle creates a supersonic air stream, blowing dust and debris away from the lens, ensuring that the cameras always have a clear view. (Given the environment where the cameras have to work we cannot claim that slag or debris can never occur, but our latest air purging designs have massively improved the performance of TV cameras in waste incineration.)
